Obituary for Dortcha F. Smith Jr. Dortcha Freeman Smith, Jr., 93, widower of Thelma Hester Smith, passed away on December 26, 2018. A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Dortcha F. Smith, Sr. and Hazel Keller Smith, he was the owner of Dortcha Smith Barber Shop and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Pam S. Youngblood of Greer; one brother, Rev.

Dan Smith of Greer; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Smith was predeceased by one son, Richard M. Smith and two brothers, Joe K. Smith and Rev. Gus Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Dan Smith and Dr. Ronald Vaughan. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m., Monday at the mortuary. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Homestead Hospice, 109 Laurens Road, Bldg 1A, Greenville, SC 29607.
