Obituary for Michael W. Holt Michael Wayne Holt, 69, widower of Gayle Price Holt, passed away December 8, 2018. A native of Paris, Texas but raised in Dallas, Texas, he was a son of the late Philip and Edith Virginia “Jean” Lawrence Holt, a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, a retired employee of Walmart and of the Methodist faith. Surviving are a son, Brad Holt (Heather Marie) of Elgin; a daughter, Brandi H. Lovejoy (Elijah) of Hope Mills, North Carolina; two brothers, David Holt of Dallas, Texas and Richard Holt of Coppell, Texas; one sister, Janet Simmons of Garland, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Parker and Sawyer Holt, Charissa, Simeon, Pax, Eva and Valor Lovejoy.

Mr. Holt was predeceased by one brother, Stephen Holt. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Elijah Lovejoy.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Resurrection Church, 1419H Bullard Road, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348, JDRF.org or American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave.
