Obituary for Polly Green McElrath Polly Green McElrath, 93, widow of Frank McElrath, passed away December 15, 2018. A native of Greer, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Ryan Tillman Green, Sr. and Margarett Miller Green. She was a homemaker and life-long member of Greer First Baptist Church.

She was also a charter member of the Primrose Garden Club. Known as “Miss Polly” she endeared many friends with her warm smile and sense of humor. She was fortunate to live a long and happy life and will be missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan McElrath Burch (Walter) of Greer and Dr. Margaret Juliana McElrath (Dr. Kenneth Stuart) of Seattle, Washington; six grandchildren, Cameron Burch Oswald (Edward), Walter McGhee Burch, Jr. (Hunter), Benjamin Montgomery Stuart, Kenny Stuart, Jr., Jeff Stuart and Tim Stuart and eight great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by one sister, Doris Margarett Green and two brothers, Benjamin Ryan Tillman Green, Jr. and Louis Gardner Green. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Dr. Doug Mize and Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters.

Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The Truth Seekers Sunday School Class of Greer First Baptist Church will be honorary escort. Visitation will be held 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary prior to the service.
