Obituary for Betty Jean Piercey Ferguson Betty Jean Piercey Ferguson, 83, of Richmond passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Reid Hospital. She was born July 28, 1935 in Albany, KY to the late Robert Chester Huddleston and Ruby Piercey. Betty loved her family.

She was a Christian woman and a long time member of Foursquare Gospel Church. Betty retired from running the food service at Raintree Square and had formerly been employed at Henry Community Hospital in food service. She is survived by a daughter, Carole (Duane) Porter of Fountain City, a son, Dan Ferguson of Richmond; grandchildren, Donny Ward of New Castle, Tim (Mendy) Ward of Ankeny, IA and Aimee Dean of Richmond; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; a sister, Wilma Walters of Straughn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Ferguson; a brother, a sister, and a step-sister. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Tim Ward officiating.

Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 – 2p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Betty Jean Ferguson Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S. Memorial Dr., New Castle, IN 47362.
