Betty L. Estes, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her residence. Betty was born on September 22, 1938 in Greensburg, KY the daughter of Ernest T. and Fannie Pickett Rogers. She married Robert Estes in 1956 in Eureka, IL.

Betty attended Feitshans High School and went on to work for the State of Illinois Military Affairs retiring after 26 years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching Law & Order, reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert Estes of Springfield; daughter, Vickie (Dennis) Clark of Springfield; granddaughter, Sandra (Kevin) Kennedy of Springfield; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be from 11-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Community Center at 1236 N. Oaklane Rd.
