Betty Lou Meredith, 90 HARTFORD CITY – Betty Lou Meredith, 90, passed away at 9:44 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Hartford City on September 2, 1928 to Fred Landis and Mayme (Clark) Landis. Both her parents preceded her in death.

Betty graduated from Hartford City High School in 1947. She married Robert “Bob” Jean Meredith on January 27, 1951 at EUB Church in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on May 24, 2012.

Betty retired from… Read More » 3-M Company after 20 years of service. She was a member of Elks Auxiliary and Good Neighbor Sam Camping Club. She is survived by her son, Edward “Ed” Robert Meredith of Forty Wayne; sister-in-law, Margaret Landis of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Pamela Meredith, siblings, David Owen Landis, Jack Landis, Fred E. Landis and Edward “Bud” Landis, sisters-in-law, JoAnne Frances Landis and Rose Landis. Betty will be cremated and her and her husband, Bob’s cremains will be interred at Hartford City Cemetery at a later date. Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City is in charge of arrangements.
