She was born in Middletown, OH on January 25, 1926 to Edward and Maud (Ritter) Barnes. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Donald C. Jay and Harry C. Radel; daughter, Donna Rae Jay Shera.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Helen (Earl T.) Blakley; sons, John Donald Jay and Jeffrey L. (Debbie) Jay and grandson, Todd Allen Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street Middletown,OH with Pastor Scotty Robertson officiating. Entombment in Butler County Memorial Park.
