Betty “Rojean”‘s Obituary Betty Rojean Lewis, of Garland, TX was born April 20, 1949, and passed away March 5, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones; following a fall at the age of 69. Rojean is survived by her daughters; Miranda Lewis and boyfriend Mike Burch of Converse, TX, Gretchen and husband Michael Allen of Moody, TX, and son, Jonathan and wife Ashley Lewis of Killeen, TX. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Hayden, Morgan, Baylee, Cailyn, Emma, Blaine and Brooke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rojean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Glen Lewis, parents Eugene “Gene” Carl Davis and Odessa Mae Davis, and brothers Dale and Horace Davis. Rojean graduated from Comanche High School Class of ‘67 and attended Tarleton State University graduating with a BS in mathematics. She taught school for several years in the Garland ISD until moving into full time real estate sales.

After several more years she again made a career change and started with DeGolyer & MacNaughton where she worked for almost 39 years until her recent retirement after a long and fulfilling career. Even though Rojean changed her career path multiple times in her life, she always maintained her certifications for teaching and furthered her training and education as a real estate agent and a real estate broker, as well as being a Realtor. Rojean was an active member Buckingham United Methodist Church, and was incredibly dedicated to her family as much as the church and volunteered much of her time to the community.

Services will be held Sunday March 10, 2019 at 4:00pm Williams funeral home in Garland, TX. Graveside service will be at Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery in Comanche, TX Monday March 11, 2019 at 11:00am.
