Betty Ruth Johnson Hart April 22, 1923 ~ May 11, 2018 Betty Ruth Johnson Hart, 95, passed away May 11, 2018 in Layton, Utah. She was born April 22, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Holmes Ray and Stella Mae Wallace Johnson. She was raised in Utah, graduating from American Fork High School.

Betty married Shirley W. Hart on June 18, 1941 in Alpine, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised five children.

Betty was a very talented artist and enjoyed oil painting; specifically scenery and flowers. She was skilled with quilting and all things to do with crafts. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Roger and Ronnie, and three siblings. She is survived by her children, Shirl, Jeffrey, and Martin, 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No.

Fairfield Rd. , Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.
