Jacquelyn Bain Treu “Jackie” July 11, 1930 ~ May 5, 2018 Our sweet, beloved Mother, passed away on May 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 11, 1930 in Ogden Utah, the daughter of Della Earl and Kenneth Bain. She attended Ogden City schools, graduating from Ogden High School.

Mom was friends with the family down the street and while growing up, she would always say, “one day I’m going to marry that good looking guy! ”’. On September 5, 1953, in Reno, Nevada, she married John W. Treu.

They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. Mom started working at the Egyptian Theater as a cashier, but soon was moved up as secretary for the boss, once he found out that she could type as fast as he could talk. Mom also worked at JC Penney, Hill Air Force Base, the Forest service where she retired, then went to work for Ogden City School District as head secretary at Bonneville Elementary until retiring.

Our Mother was an amazing piano player and enjoyed playing any chance she had and loved jazzing up the songs. Whether it be for us, grandkids, schools, road shows, the different groups she was involved in, Dee Event Center, Salt Lake City Govenors Ball, and the list goes on and on. Mom was a happy go lucky, fun loving person, who loved everyone and above all adored her family.

Jacquelyn is survived by her daughter’s Vicky T. Wheeler (Tony) and Kathy T. Bate (Rick); grandchildren, Andrew (AJ) Wheeler, Brayden Galbraith (Lynsie), Kelsey Brandley (Levi), Garrett Wheeler, Richard (RJ) Bate, Kassidy Bate, Kaitlyn Bate, and many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s and cousins. She was preoceded in death by the love of her life, husband, John, parents, sister, Judith K. Simone, brother, Kenneth J. Bain, as well as in-laws, nephews, and her loving pets. We would like to express our love and appreciation for all those wonderful people who helped take care of Mom this past year, Val, Harlie, Brooke, Sadye, Nikole, Ruby, Pam, Leah, Maddie, Felicia, Autumn, Jeanette, Jay.

Mom adored and loved each and every one of you. We will always remember Mom for her sense of humor, smile, and her generosity. We miss you and love you always.
