Our sweet, humble, caring, angel mom returned to her heavenly home on May 2, 2018. Carolyn Adams Pierson was born August 10, 1948 to Jay and Afton Ray Adams. She was raised in Kaysville and spent her life in the city that she loved.

She attended Davis High and after raising six children returned to Utah State graduating with a degree in Education. She married her college sweetheart Blaine Rudd Pierson on April 3, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. Carolyn was a true Davis Dart with a heart of Gold.

She taught in the school-to-career program and influenced many students to achieve their dreams. She proudly supported Davis sporting events, marching band, concerts, and plays. She spent countless hours cheering her children and grandchildren in all of their activities.

Carolyn loved serving in multiple callings in the LDS church exemplifying faith and charity. She ministered the gospel in every relationship. She loved without restraint and served without hesitation.

She made everyone feel special and needed. Carolyn loved Kaysville and was awarded the Unsung Hero in 2015. She worked tirelessly in making Heritage Park a reality.

She was instrumental in creating the Kaysville Arts in the Park, Quilt Show, and Halloween Monster Mash. Kaysville will truly miss her enthusiasm, party planning, and love, but her legacy will live on in the happiness of those who enjoy the park. Carolyn was a member of the Kaysville Art Club and “Persian Pickles” book club and loved meeting each month with her dear friends.

Carolyn awarded the Art Club Scholarship to a Davis High art student each year. Carolyn loved stories and books and shared the gift of literature with her children, grandchildren, neighbors, and students. The neighborhood children loved “summer school” with Grandma Carolyn.
