Obituary for Bettye King Bettye Howse King, age 89, of Jefferson City, passed away April 25, 2018. Bettye was a member of First Baptist Church of Dandridge. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Howard Howse and Martha Startup Howse; sister, Evelyn Howse Bryant and son in-law, Kevin Miller.

Bettye is survived by her husband of 63 years, Coach Charlie King: daughters and son in-law, Kathy King Miller and Kelly King (Roger Murdock) Gentry; son and daughter in-law, Chuck (Tee) King; grandchildren, Katie-Jo Gentry, Jennilee Gentry, Cal King, and Kirby King. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M. at the church with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Justin Terrell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 246 Dandridge, TN 37725.
