Rotterdam – Beverly A. Zechner, 84, passed away on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 with family by her side. Beverly was born in Pittsford, Vermont to the late Perley and Anna (Steele) Greeno. Beverly was employed at Maqua Company and then for many years as secretary at St. Clare’s Family Health, retiring in 1986.

Beverly’s memory will be cherished by her children, Deborah DiMaggio (Frank), Denise Miller (Wayne), Dolores Draina, Daphne Galka, Darlene Lefton (Fred), her grandchildren, Scott Draina (Janet), Kevin Draina (Sally), Tara DiMaggio (Brett Ashwood), Stacey Cohen (Brian), Samantha Miller Herrera (Joel), Kelsy Galka (Nick Ragucci), Caitlin Lefton, Dylan Lefton and William Lefton as well as 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Rosemary Clark (Lee) and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, William Zechner, her son-in-law, Mitchell Draina and her siblings, Richard, Pauline and Marjorie.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 18th from 5-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning at the funeral home at 9:15am and will be followed by a funeral mass at 10am at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg St. in Rotterdam. Entombment will take place at St. Cyril’s Cemetery on Duanesburg Road.

Beverly’s family would like to thank the staff at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home for their compassionate care and support during her short stay. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beverly’s name may be made to the Rotterdam EMS, 2007 Cardiff Rd. Schdy, NY 12303 or to Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd.
