Beverly Casten, of Sacramento, California, born March 21, 1930 died June 5, 2018 at 88 years old. Beverly was born in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. Beverly grew up in Santa Rosa, Napa and Manteca, California attending high school in Napa and Manteca graduating mid-term from Manteca High School.

Following graduation Beverly started work as a secretary for Pacific Gas & Electric in Napa. Beverly met her husband, Vade E. Casten in Napa, and married November 15, 1953 after a five years… Read More » courtship. Vade and Beverly settled in Sacramento, California where they started their family raising a daughter and twin sons.

Beverly was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Beverly lived in the family home in Sacramento for 53 years, where she enjoyed her family, gardening, reading and vacations to Lake Tahoe, California. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Vade Eugene Casten, father Robert Norman Miller, mother Mary Ida Reese Miller.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Vicki Casten Purvis, son in law John Purvis and grandchildren Jared Purvis and Annie Purvis Pomer, and husband Christopher Pomer and great grandchild Wilder Pomer; son Michael Casten, and daughter in law Denise Casten and grandchild Madison Casten; son Chris Casten, daughter in law Michelle Casten and grandchildren Nicholas and Andrew Casten. Beverly will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. A private family service will be held at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA.
