Kathy passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Roseville, CA. She was born October 31, 1948 in Portland, OR to Ben and Florence Chin. She worked at McClellan Air Force Base for more than 17 years and also enjoyed working for many years at Arco Arena and Cal Expo.
Throughout her life she loved watching and participating in sports; water skiing, snow skiing, tennis, bowling, camping, fishing, and other activities. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Kathy also loved animals… Read More » – especially her dogs.
She was a devout Christian and a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Ben and Mary Chin; son John Garcia and daughter-in-law Karmyn; stepson Jason Timmons; grandchildren Kristofer, Kyle, Kameron, Triston, Vanessa, Anthony, Elijah, and Greyson; great-grandsons Matthew and Brayden; her sisters Jan Meckley (Misegades) and Cristina Blaser; and brothers Ben Chin, Jr. and Don Chin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lou; daughter, Lorrie; mother, Florence; and brothers Doug Misegades and Jack Worden.
She was a beloved friend of hundreds. Her faith, laugh, love of family and friends, and genuine kindness and ability to make us laugh will be forever missed. Friends are welcome to attend the viewing on Monday, July 30, anytime from 10-11:30 a.m. at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Ln, Sacramento, followed by a memorial service at noon at Calvary Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave, Citrus Heights.
