Obituary for Beverly J. Powell Dateline: Bethalto, IL Beverly J. Powell, 69, of Bethalto, passed away peacefully at 5:30 pm April 7, 2018 at her home with a few close family members. She was born on February 21, 1949 in Alton, IL the daughter of Clifton and Alice “Lucille” Blevens Strange. Beverly was a hearing Practitioner at Beltone Offices in Alton for several years before retiring.

She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother who always put family first and will be greatly missed. She is survived by David Bellm who shared his life with her for the past 15 years; a daughter, Indi Harp (David) of Bethalto, IL; five grandchildren, David Flynn (Kayla) of Fort Gordon, GA, Rebecca Billings of Wood River, IL, Nate Billings (Fiancée Alexis Romanko) of Bethalto, Callie Marshall (Zach) of Alton, and Seth Billings of Fort Tinker, OK; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Jones of Alton and Betty Travis of Hazelwood, MO; two nephews, Jason Travis and Steve Dennis; a niece, Michelle Dennis; and many loving friends. Cremation rites have been accorded per Beverly’s wishes.

A memorial visitation Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00- 3:00 pm at the Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to the hope Center in Cottage Hills. Online condolences can be given at www.
