Obituary for Edward Noel Dateline: Shipman Edward Noel, 67, passed away at 7:58 am Saturday May 19, 2018 at home. He was born on May 20, 1950 in Alton, IL the son of Ralph & Freddie Mae (Ogden) Noel. Edward married Arvella Cottingham on August 19, 1978 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin.

He retired from Alton Mental Health where he worked for 30 years and was a member of the Kampsville American Legion. Edward enjoyed being with his wife, his son and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Arvella Noel of Shipman, Brian (Katie) Cottingham, 6 grandchildren, and a brother, Thomas (Julie) Noel of Alton.

Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of funeral services at 1 pm Wednesday at Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin. Burial will follow at Hardin City Cemetery with military rites by the Kampsville American Legion. Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society.
