Beverly Jean Krueger Farnsworth July 04, 1944 – May 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Beverly Jean Krueger Farnsworth, 74, passed away in her home with family and friends by her side after a three-year-long battle with blood and bone cancers on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Beverly was born on July 4, 1944 in Watertown, Wis. to H. Ben and Marie Alexander Krueger.
Beverly graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1962. Later, she graduated from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide in the Johnson Creek School District for many years.
Beverly transitioned to Job Service/Workforce Development, eventually retiring from State of Wisconsin after a 25-year career. The most rewarding part of her career is working with veterans. She enjoyed several part-time jobs, even after retirement, that supported her passion for travel.
Beverly was a vivacious, dedicated, determined and independent woman who loved exploring the world in every way possible. She traveled to all seven continents and well over 100 countries. She visited all wonders of the world and went on numerous cruises with family and friends.
She was an avid gardener and loved birdwatching. Beverly was an adoring Boston Terrier lover and enjoyed the companionship of four Bostons throughout her life. She shared her love of the breed with her friends and family.
She was the matriarch of the family, and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones and hosting holidays. Beverly proudly served as a volunteer in her community. She was an active member of First Congregational Church of Christ, serving on the Board of Trustees and working on The Peanut Project.
Most recently, she served as a Police and Fire Commissioner for the Town of Lake Mills for the last several years. She volunteered on Lake Mills High School Class of 1962 reunion committee for over 55 years. She is survived by children Craig (Summer) Ross of Watertown, Cynthia Tanev of Lake Mills and Susan (Todd) Greeneway of Appleton; grandchildren Constance (Jake) Thorn, Parker Ross, Abigail and Allison Greeneway, and Thomas and Victor Tanev; brother Gerald (Chris) Krueger of Citrus Springs, FL; beloved nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Beverly was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers, Thomas and Benjamin Richard Krueger. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 starting at 11am at First Congregational Church of Christ in Lake Mills, Wis. with Rev.
Larry Treece officiating. Memorials to First Congregational Church of Christ, Lake Mills, Wis. would be appreciated.
