Obituary for Beverly Jo Kirk Beverly Jo Kirk passed away Sunday morning, October 14, 2018 in a local nursing home. She was born in Bozeman, Tuesday, February 1, 1944 to Donald and Alberta (Ham) Woosley. She graduated from high school in Bozeman in 1963, studied nursing and later earned her degree in art education from Montana State University.

She worked as a substitute teacher in Butte schools and led the art group at Silver House. She was a talented seamstress, often making clothing, dresses, and Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Butte Alano Club, and served on the Board of Directors for many years.

She belonged to the Butte Archery Club and downed her first deer with a bow and arrow in 1998. She enjoyed playing cards and Sunday afternoon rides through the Montana countryside. In the winter, she enjoyed playing BINGO.

Her favorite time of the year was Labor Day when she joined her family and friends for an annual camping trip. Beverly is survived by her husband Don Petit of Butte, son, Clinton Kirk of Shelton, WA, daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Bill Keller of Butte and Katherine and Taun Crum of Anaconda. Grandchildren include Cassie Burrell, Keith and Elizabeth Keller, Lora Keller, Kevin Keller, Katie Jo Keller, Brian O’Connell and Michael Crum, one great-granddaughter, Abby Burrell, as well as, her sister and brother-in-law, Maryanne and Donovan Jegtvig of Butte, brother and sister-in-law, Don and Diane Woosley of Kalispell and numerous nieces and nephews.
