Obituary for Billie Jean Stricklin (White) Billie Jean Stricklin, 87, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born November 21, 1931 in Harlan Co., KY the daughter of William and Flava (Farmer) White. Billie married Robert Stricklin on July 10, 1976 in Battle Creek.

Bob preceded Billie in death in 2012. Billie started her working career in shipping for Archway Cookie Co She retired from Archway in 1993 after 32 years of dedicated service.

Billie continued her working career in 1994 at McDonald’s on West Michigan Avenue. She made 23 years with McDonalds. Billie loved going to antique shows, gardening, and watching the wild life out of her window.

She was a huge NASCAR fan. Billie was a kind soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She is survived by numerous friends, including her McDonald’s family on West Michigan Ave.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob”; son, Charles Buckner; step-daughter, Diana Inman; siblings, Christine Hess, Merial Alred, Curtis White, and Donald White. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 16th at 1:00 PM at Bedford Cemetery.
