OBITUARY Billy Boyd Palmore November 20, 1935 – December 24, 2018 Billy Boyd Palmore, 83 of Southside passed away December 24, 2018. Funeral service will be 2p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Military Honors. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 until 2p.m. Mr. Palmore was a proud American Patriot.

He served in the United States Air Force from October 1954 until August 1983 during the Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant. He was an Air Traffic controller and Missile Defense Specialist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Boyd Palmore; mother, Dorothy Edmonson; and daughter, Belinda Jean McGrady. He is survived by his sons, Billy G. Palmore (Lecki) and Phillip (Nancy) Palmore; brother, Troy Lynn (Delores “Loli”) Palmore; grandchildren, Ilea Palmore, Christine (Ruddy) Saavedra, Melissa McGrady, Bryan (Tracy) Palmore, Mark Palmore, Jeremy Fortin, Doug Fortin, and Matthew Fortin; son in law, Steve McGrady ; and 19 great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Palmore, Billy Palmore, Bryan Palmore, Mark Palmore, Ruddy Saavedra, and Steve McGrady.
