Obituary for Billy ‘Buck’ B. Seward Billy B. ‘Buck’ Seward, 79, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 1, 1938 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Willard and Edith (Haycock) Seward. He married Judith A. Miller on June 15, 1958 and she preceded him in death on October 24, 2008.

Buck was a life-long farmer. His memberships included the National Guard, Moose, Elks, and Lawrence County Country Club. He was an avid hunter and loved golfing and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Judith; and one sister, Jean Morey. Survivors include one son, David Seward and wife, Jacki, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two daughters, Kathy Courtney and husband, Jeff, of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Beth Seward-Couch and husband, David, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; one sister, Ailene Seitzinger of Lawrenceville, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Brian Courtney, Jordan Seward, Jesse Courtney, Rayann Taylor, Macee Seward, Katie Courtney, Rona Taylor, and Spencer LeBahn; and three great-grandchildren, Chase Montgomery, Benjamin Courtney, and Adelaide Courtney. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Buck’s memory may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Re Center & Wig Shoppe.
