Billy Buren Burchfield, age 75, of Crossett, AR, passed away at Somerset Senior Living in Crossett. He was born on February 2, 1943 to Homer “Nig” and Marnell Burchfield. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Crossett.

He served in the Army National Guard, loved hunting and fishing and was an avid football fan. Mr. Burchfield retired as an electrician with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill. He is preceded in death by his father, Homer “Nig” Burchfield.

Mr. Burchfield is survived by his mother, Marnell Marie Phillips Burchfield of Crossett, AR; two children, Bill and Susan; one brother, Randall Burchfield (Tammy) of Crossett, AR; one sister, Judy Tucker of Crossett, AR and a host of other family members and friends. The family of Billy Burchfield would like to thank all of the CNAs, nurses and staff at Somerset Senior Living. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered.

Funeral services for Billy Burchfield are 2:00pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. with Ken Burchfield officiating. Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Ken Burchfield, John Marter, Freddie Guin, Carson Gilbert, Zach Gilbert and Aaron Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Crossett High School Class of 1961. Visitation is at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 26th, one hour prior to the funeral.
