Billy Eddlemon March 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Billy Adrian Eddlemon, age 82 of Lexington, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. Billy was born December 16, 1936 at Signal Hill, Oklahoma, the 4th of 9 children born to Ulrich and Jewell Eddlemon. He was raised near Rosedale and attended Rosedale schools, graduating in 1954.

Billy was drafted into the United States Army and he served his country proudly. He returned home to Oklahoma settling in Rosedale. Billy began working at LARC and retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service.

On July 28, 1977, Billy married his best friend and life partner, Reba Jane (Beets) Austin. They purchased an acreage and settled east of Lexington, and have called it home ever since. Billy loved working his land and he ran cattle for the next several years.

He then decided to build a kennel so he and Jane could breed puppies. Billy was a hard worker and a great provider; a proud husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed tending to his garden and in his later years, spontaneous trips to the Casino with Jane.

He will be dearly missed! Billy was preceded in death by: His parents, Ulrich and Jewell Eddlemon; Daughter, Vickie Simmons; Son, Alvin Dean Austin and Siblings, Choc Eddlemon, Brass Eddlemon, Barbara McBride, Jerry Atkerson and Nancy Linker. Billy is survived by: His wife, Jane Eddlemon of the home; Son, Dennis Austin and wife Lisa of Talihina, OK; Daughter, Karla Beaty of Noble; Brother, Paul Eddlemon and wife Margaret of Kingston, TX; Two sisters, Ann Samson and husband Stan of Paoli and Teenie Lang of Rosedale; 7 grandchildren; Erik, Jonathan, Susie, Chasity, Marcus, Cherish and Sasha, 15 great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.

The family will be gathering for lunch at 11:30 A.M., Thursday at the Canadian River Winery located South West corner of Hwy 77 and Slaughterville Rd.
