Billy John Harl, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the age of 63 years. The son of the late John Harl and Walsie Mills Harl, Billy was born on June 10, 1955 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and was raised and educated in Sallisaw, graduating from Sallisaw High School. Billy was united in marriage to Cindy Lou Morris on August 10, 1974 in Cushing and to this union one daughter, Angela, was born.

He will be remembered as a fixer upper, always able and willing to fix anything that needed to be fixed. He was veteran of the United States Navy; he enjoyed reading his Bible, doing yard work, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Angela Day of Cushing; two grandchildren, Blake Day and Kassidie Day; three sisters, Emily Watie of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Wanda Harl of Vian, Oklahoma and Jackie Mattison of Perkins ; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends, including special friends Tiela and Eddric Baty.

In addition to his parents and wife, Billy was preceded in death by three siblings, William Stoke, John Harl and Wilma Cook. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. in the Floyd Family Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Nacci officiating.

Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery.
