Obituary for Bina Mae English Bina Mae English passed away on September 6 at the age of 89 after a long battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She was a faithful life-long Christian and believed her end on earth heralded her reunion with God and her loved ones who preceded her in death. She was born and raised in San Antonio, graduated from Jefferson High School and was a charter member of Shearer Hills Baptist Church.
She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved and cared for her family and delighted as family members made their way through life. She had a zest for life and was a gifted musician who was always ready to share a song on her piano, organ, accordion or harmonica.
She was a very happy, loving and positive person who made the world a better place. We will love, miss and cherish her forever. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry, her parents John and Olive Pittman and her siblings Homer, Warren, Frances and Russell.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children Barbara Brigance (Mark), Robert (Judy), Donald and Daniel along with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family would like to express their immeasurable gratitude to Mrs. Frieda York for her loving care and companionship to Bina Mae during the last six years of her life. They see Mrs. York as one of Bina Mae’s final gifts from God as a reward for a life well lived.
