Blossom’s Obituary The Nery family announces with great sadness the loss of their beloved mother, Blossom T. (Samson) Nery-Sylvia, age 90, of Fall River, she passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late William Sylvia and John Nery, with whom she was married for more than 50 years, Blossom was born in North Providence, RI. She was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Eva (Jette) Samson.

Blossom was a volunteer at the St. Anne’s Hospital for many years and an enthusiastic dancer and karaoke singer. Her unique fashion sense, colorful character and her quick wit will be forever missed. Blossom is survived two sons, John Nery and his wife Pauline of Tiverton and Richard Nery and his wife Manon of N. Providence, a step-daughter Patricia Partington and her husband Butch, as well as her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She also was the sister to the late Raymond Samson. Blossom’s funeral will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 8:00AM from the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass time and place to be announced. Interment will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Cranston, RI.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Our family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude for exemplary care and kindness she received at the Fall River Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Blossom memory to Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center Activity Fund 4901 N. Main St. Fall River, M 02720.
