Cornelius (Neil) Vincent Leahey, 81, of Somerset, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. He was an insurance adjuster for many years, beginning with General Adjustment Bureau (GAB) as a branch manager and ran his own business starting in 1975 as Neil Leahey Claims Service. He served in the US Army for three years from 1957-1960, being stationed in Lubeck, Germany.

He graduated from Bradford Durfee College in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed talking about aviation, playing golf, going on camping trips in travel trailer and to Red Sox baseball games with his sons, Neil and Chris. He leaves his two sons, Neil Leahey and the late Chris Leahey, his two sisters, the late Maureen Walsh Hirsch and Margaret (Peggy) Sullivan, three nieces, Loren Walsh of CA, the late Cheryl (Walsh) Connell, Nancy (Walsh) Noble of MI and four nephews, the late Gregory Walsh, James Sullivan of RI, Thomas Sullivan of RI and James Walsh of CA.

He was the husband of the late Linda (Gifford) Leahey and the step-father of David Lavoie of RI and the late Karen Lavoie. A visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. with a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
