Obituary for Bob Freestone Bob Freestone, age 65, passed peacefully at home on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Matthew W. and Dora I. (Robinson) Freestone on Tuesday, August 18, 1953. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force in 1973, serving his country proudly until his honorable discharge in 1980.

Although he left Brooklyn, he remained a dedicated and loyal fan of the New York Yankees, loving and holding his dear hometown next to his heart. Bob was a giving man, who worked hard to provide for his family, giving what he could of himself. He was a loving son, father, brother and friend who will be remembered for his love of telling jokes, his open personality as he never met a stranger, and the joy he found spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Dora, brother Ronnie Freestone and daughter Traci Freestone. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Jenifer Scheer and husband Damon; daughter Dawn Freestone and fiancé Josh Anderson; brother Matthew Freestone and wife Dinnea; brother Allan Freestone and wife Cynthia; ex-wife and dear friend Randi Burnett; niece Lauren Freestone; nephew David Freestone; beloved dog Molly along with numerous extended family and close friends. A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at a date, yet to be determined, please continue to check back for this updated information.
