Irene Hopkins Kelley of Irving, Texas November 17, 1926 – February 22, 2019 Irene Hopkins Kelley, age 92, a resident of Irving since 1980, died Friday, February 22, 2019, at a local hospital. Born November 17, 1926 in Sedalia, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ezra Hopkins and Ella Mae Sanders Hopkins. She grew up in Sedalia, Missouri and married Roy E. Kelley there March 11, 1946.

They lived in Muleshoe and the Lubbock area of Texas before moving to Irving in 1980. She was a sales clerk and had worked for Sanger Harris, and Foley’s Department Stores before retiring at age 74. She was Methodist.

Preceded in death by her husband Roy E. Kelley and her son William Jackson “Billy” Kelley, she was the last of eight siblings. She is survived by a daughter, Vicki J. Kelley of Irving; three grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Tubbs, Cynthia Thomas, and Billy Jackson Kelley all of Midland, Texas; seven great grandchildren, Layne Kelley, Breilah Kelley, Alexis Tubbs, Cage Tubbs, Ashlen Tubbs, Anthony Lavora, and Casandra Lavora. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
