Bobbie Eugene Drehle August 31, 1929 – March 26, 2019 Sign Guestbook Bobbie Eugene Drehle, 89, Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, Independence, MO. Bob was born August 31, 1929 on a farm west of Harrisonville, MO, to William Eugene and Lucille Beatrice (Richardson) Drehle. He attended school at Bell Plain, Cass County, MO.

Bob married Betty K. Gorsage on May 21, 1951 in Berryville, AR. Bob served in the U.S. Army from January, 1951-December, 1952. He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 38 years before retiring in 1991 and was a member of the UAW #249.

After retirement, he worked for John Foster and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville for over 50 years. Bob served as usher, deacon, Training Union Director, Director of Children’s Sunday School Dept.

, Church Council and he sang in the choir. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Drehle, of the home; two daughters, Nancy Hrdy (Jim), El Reno, OK, and Mary Kurth (Ken), Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Carie Felton (Joe), and Beau Henson (Erica Fleenor), all of El Reno, OK, and Cassie Lee (Kortney), Kansas City, MO; 8 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brianna and Josie Felton, Kaitlyn, Braydin and Dasyn Henson, and Korden and Carter Lee; one sister, Peggy Edmondson, Harrisonville; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
