Obituary for Bobbie Hensley Big Stone Gap, Virginia Bobbie G. Hensley 81 ” Mamaw”, passed away peacefully on Thursday (Nov 29, 2018) at her residence. She was the daughter of the late; Elgie and Rosa Phillips. She graduated from East Stone Gap High school.

She was a CNA who worked for Heritage Hall Nursing Home for 10 years. She was an accomplished Baker, who attended the Wilson Culinary School and won many awards for her specialized cakes. She adored all children.

She was a lifelong member of the New Hope Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Raymond Ellison Hensley. She is survived by her children; Jackie Ray, Robin Davis, and Ronnie Smallwood, her granddaughters; Melissa Allen, Brandi Gordon, and Mahlia “Little Bobbie” Presley; greatgrandchildren Alex Allen, Michaela Allen, Jacob Gordon, great -great grandchildren; Noah Stacey, and Dinley Stacey, sisters; Geralidine Bullington, Thelma McGee, and Sherri Russell other close relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (Dec 4)at New Hope assembly church from 5 – 7 p.m. the funeral service will be conducted following with pastor Rick Whitten officiating.
