Bonnie’s Obituary Bonnie Luella Nelson, 66, of Brainerd, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at Noon, Saturday, February, 2, 2019 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service.

The family invites all who attend to join them for luncheon after the service on Saturday at Oak Lawn Town Hall. Bonnie was born April 6, 1952, in Brainerd, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Jones) Nelson. After high school and college, Bonnie worked for Nortech for 26 years.

She enjoyed playing BINGO and other games. She liked spending a night at North Central Speedway. Spending time on her computer made her feel at home because she loved connecting with her friends.

Above all, she loved her family – her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her sons, Jason (Stacy) Nelson and Shawn Nelson; grandchildren, Alissa (Austin) Diggs, Briana Nelson, Austin (Kate) Laughton, Ashli Laughton, Kieler Skaro, Colton Laughton, Dru Nelson, Peyton Nelson, and Braedon Peterson; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mike (Barb) Nelson, Becky (Bill) Lakin, and Keith Nelson. She was preceded in death by daughter, Tracy Laughton.
