Obituary Service Details Bradford ‘Brad’ Hayes, age 55 of Calhoun, passed away at 9:57 AM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A casual Celebration of Life service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Calhoun Community Building in Calhoun. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Pastor Tim Bursott will be officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun.

The family is following Brad’s wishes by asking anyone that would like to bring a tractor or ATV to help lead the processional to the cemetery. Brad was born on August 15, 1962, in Olney, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Davidson) Hayes. He later married Cherri Beal on November 29, 2008 in Calhoun.

She survives. He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a Village of Calhoun Trustee.

He enjoyed gardening, riding his tractor and four-wheeler and spending time outside. He enjoyed participating in the area tractor parades and shows. He also enjoyed watching the Olney Marching Tigers perform and was an avid supporter of the Olney Music Boosters.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Brad is survived by his wife Cherri Hayes; daughter Brandy (Robert ‘Bobby’) Jellison; brother Monty (Nancy) Hayes; 2 sisters Cheryl (Joe) Holley and Tammy (Tom) Rottinghause; 4 grandchildren Kristian, Kelsea, Kyle and Kendra Jellison; nieces and nephews Josh Hayes, Jennifer (Seth) Houchin, Alleigh and Sydney Hayes, Amber Wilson, Lisa (Tony) Kittle, Teresa Steckler, Stan Holley and Amy Holley, Trent and Travous Pearcy; brother-in-law Terry Beal; sister-in-law Tina (Tod) Pearcy; parent-in-law John (Marie) Beal. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Hayes, brother Greg Hayes, brother-in-law Joe Steckler, grandparents Dorothy ‘Nan’ and Alva Hayes and Ray and Mary Davidson, and mother-in-law Jolene Beal.
