Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edward Jerry Burton and Thelma Faith Bullock Burton and was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Donald Ray Short. Brenda enjoyed gardening and taking vacations to the beach.

She was a loving grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda will be missed by all who knew and loved her. SURVIVORS: Daughters: Krista Morton and husband, Jeff, Kings Mountain, NC and Bambi Mosley, Kings Mountain, NC Sisters: Wendy B. Grigg, Kings Mountain, NC, Elaine B.
