DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Ila Vernice Dudley Ila Vernice Dudley, 95, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 10, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Surry County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Luther Wood and Jeanetta Woodle Wood and was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Samuel G. Dudley, her son, Samuel Aaron Dudley, a grandchild, Samantha Dudley, seven brothers and six sisters. Vernice was a charter member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church and a past member of the Oak Grove VFD Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a longtime member of the T.O.P.S. Club and an accomplished seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: DeLora Lovelace and husband, Willard Lovelace, Kings Mountain, NC Grandchildren: DeAnna Lovelace Morris and husband Rev. Mike Morris, Tiffany Lovelace Hughes and husband Marc Hughes and Samuel Aaron Dudley II and wife Lindsey. Great-grandchildren: Andi Mullis, Cameron Morris, Matthew Morris, Christian Mullis, Austin Mullis, Kyle Morris, Evan Dudley and Kase Dudley Great-great-grandchildren: Mason Der and Elliot Jane Morris FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Christian Freedom Baptist Church with Rev.
