Obituary Service Details PONTOTOC- Mrs. Brenda Faye Watson, 53, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home in Pontotoc. She was born on March 7, 1965 in Pontotoc, MS to the late Thomas Lipsey and Willie Mae Wade. She professed hope in Christ and joined Wilson Chapel M.B. Church in Pontotoc, where she was a faithful member until death.

Brenda was very well known for her contagious smile, outgoing personality, and she never met a stranger. She coined the word “SHUGA” she also loved walking around Pontotoc. Everyone she encountered male or female.

She would always greet them by saying “Good Morning or Good Evening SHUGA”. Brenda loved her family and everyone else. She loved attending church at Wilson Chapel.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 3p.m. at Wilson Chapel M.B. Church in Pontotoc. Burial will take place at Pontotoc City Cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband: Oscar Watson, Jr,. Two sons: Oscar O’Neal Lipsey and Tommy Lee Watson both of Pontotoc. Two brothers: Leroy (Yvonne) Pinson of Belden, MS and Howard Lipsey of Algoma, MS.

Three sisters: Evette Lipsey of Algoma, MS, Dorthy Virgina Bean of Tupelo, MS and Gladys Pickens of Memphis, TN. A host of other relatives and friends. One Uncle: Charlie Wade, Jr., of Pontotoc.

One Aunt: Hattie Wade of Pontotoc. Four brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Bettie J. Bean and Elaine Lipsey.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 1p.m. until time of the service at the church. There’s still time to send flowers to the Visitation at the Wilson Chapel M.B.
