Obituary for Brenda Joyce Schmidt Brenda Joyce Schmidt, 70, of Judsonia, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born March 30, 1948 in Searcy a daughter of the late Robert Iron and Frances Marie (Duncan) Vest. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of the Kensett Church of Christ.

She loved to cook, fish and work in her flower gardens. She was blessed with a green thumb and could grow beautiful plants and flowers. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter always brought her much joy.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Schmidt; 3 children, Amanda Walker, Anthony Owens (Glenda) and Angela Owens; step-son, Joel Schmidt (Jennifer); 3 brothers, Jerry Lang (Jeanie), Robert Vest and Ronald Vest (Tracy); 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Vest. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Stewart officiating.

Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia. www. powellfuneralhome.net.
