Obituary for Brenda Palmer DeMatteo Brenda Palmer DeMatteo, a life-long resident of Westwego, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 74. She is preceded in death by her son, Duane DeMatteo; her parents, Peter Palmer and Lelia Gros Palmer; and her nephew, Derek Fortmeyer. She is the beloved mother of Jake DeMatteo.

She is the devoted grandmother of Demi McKinney, Savannah DeMatteo, Brandon DeMatteo, and Joel DeMatteo. She is the cherished sister of Peter Palmer Jr. (Maxine), and Evelyn Fortmayer (Rex). She is the loving aunt of Aubrey Fortmeyer, Ken Fortmeyer, and Jan Dybul.

She is also survived by daughters-in-law, Julie DeMatteo, Monique DeMatteo , other family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday, January 25, 2019 beginning at 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM all at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 4th Street , Westwego, LA. Interment OLPS Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
