Bret James Young, 60, residing in Granger, passed away at 5:21 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Hospice House, South Bend. He was born November 15, 1958 in South Bend to Jacquelyn (Foreman) Fox and remained a lifelong area resident. Bret worked in building maintenance prior to his death.

He loved fishing and enjoyed watching Notre Dame athletics as well as the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his mother, Jacquelyn Fox, and stepfather, Paul Whitmer, Bret is survived by two sons, Brad (Ashley) Young and Brandon Young; three grandchildren, Ellie, Miles and Greyson; and one brother, Bart Young; as well as his niece, Madison Young. A time of remembrance will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.
