Otis G. Marbley, 40, passed away unexpectedly at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on the evening of Saturday, May 18, 2019. Otis was born on May 30, 1978 to Jerry and Pandora (Marbley) Simmons. A life-long resident of South Bend, Otis was self-employed in the construction industry and attended Pentecostal Cathedral in South Bend.

Otis was a beloved brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Otis is survived by his mother, Pandora, of South Bend; brother Martinez W. (Tameka) Marbley of South Bend; four nieces: Satchell Brock, Arzenia Williams, Nephathea Williams and Beronna Williams; four nephews: Jerry Williams, Quentin Williams, Robert Williams and Tony Williams; as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.

Otis was preceded in death by his father, Jerry; uncles Dennis Marbley and Gary Marbley; brother Jerry Michael Simmons, Jr; grandmother Dissie Marbley. Services for Otis will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
