STEELE JR. , BRUCE D., 66, SALTSBURG, PA passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at VA Hospital, Aspinwall, PA. He was born August 7, 1952 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late Bruce Steele and Freida (Shirley) Steele.

Bruce had retired from Latrobe Area Hospital and had formerly worked for Citizen’s Ambulance and Lifestat Ambulance. He had formerly been employed by Fisher Scientific, Indiana, PA. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, wood working, hunting and fishing.

He was a US Navy Veteran having served from 1971-1975. Bruce was a member of the Saltsburg American Legion and also was the former Fire Chief of Altman Fire Department. He is survived by his son, Brandon Steele, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Caliah & Braley Steele; sister, Carol Baldauf & husband, Craig, Slickville, PA; sister, Colleen Dionisi & husband, Russ, Blairsville, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.

The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bruce’s name to Pets for Vets Inc., PO Box 10860, Wilmington, NC 28404.
