Bruce Roland Holmgren, 72, of Plainfield died peacefully at RWJ University Hospital Somerset on October 25, 2018. He was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Oregon and South Plainfield before moving to Plainfield in 1975. Bruce attended Rutgers University prior to his service in the U.S. Air Force where he was a Radar Specialist.

Until his retirement after 35+ years, he worked for Verizon in various areas of telecommunications. His loves were cars, travel, lazy sunny days in the Caribbean and Costco. Surviving are his wife Lynn of Plainfield, son Kai Holmgren of Delray Beach, FL, son Jason Holmgren and his wife Vanessa of Milwaukie, OR, brother David Holmgren of Plainfield and five grandchildren: Serina, Jensin, Ella, Zoe and Alexander.

There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday; November 10th, 2018 from 10-12PM at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Boggy Creek, 30500 Brantley Branch Road, Eustis, FL 32736.
