Bruce’s Obituary Bruce Russell Ballard, 69, of Louisville passed away peacefully Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. Bruce is a alumni of Ahrens Trade high school 1967 and US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War era. He went on to retire from United States Postal Service after 33 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Rose Alice Spalding Ballard, Father Albert Sidney Ballard, Brother in Law Howard Sidebottom, and Nephew Jeffrey Kampschaefer Left to cherish his memory are his loving Wife of 40 years, Charlene DeVore Ballard, Children Katie Fox (Justin), Brian Ballard (Tonya Ford), Siblings Sharon Chasteen (Billy), Pamela Ballard, Barry Ballard (MaryPat), Mark Ballard, Janet Sidebottom, Grandchildren Jameson Fox, Piper Fox, Solo Ballard, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bruce was a devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle who’s love and support will be truly missed. He was a die hard Green Bay Packer and UofL Cardinal Fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2018 at Most Blessed Sacrament, 3509 Blvd with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 PM on Wednesday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Hosparus.
