Helen Turner Hampton February 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Helen Turner Hampton, 96 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Martha R. Turner. Helen was born October 1, 1922 on Elsome Creek in Breathitt County, Kentucky.

She worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio during WWII. After the war, she relocated back to Kentucky where she worked for several years at Stuart Robinson Presbyterian School in Letcher County. In the early 1950’s, Helen moved to Louisville and began her career at First National Bank (now PNC) for the next 30+ years.

Helen was preceded in death by siblings, Isabella Turner, Owen Turner, Juanita Wells, Irene Napier and Jerry Turner. She is survived by siblings, Ottis Turner, Nora Julich, Nola Noland (Joe) and John Turner (Faye); and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; along with very special friends, Dottie Colquit and Jackie Frost. Visitation begins at 3pm Wednesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road and will conclude with family remembrances at 5pm.

Burial at the family cemetery will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus, 3252 McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205.
