RODGER, Byron G., 60, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Judy S. (Berman) Rodger. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was a son of the late Alexander and Charlotte (Sponsel) Rodger.

Byron was a devoted father and husband who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He had a passion for music and happily accompanied his daughters to the concerts or musicals of their choice. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many early mornings fishing with his wife and daughters, and deer hunting in the woods of Rhode Island.

Byron will also be remembered for his culinary talents. A student of Johnson and Wales University, he spent much of his personal and professional time delighting people with his cooking. Later in his career he could be found digging for quahogs and trapping lobsters in Narragansett Bay.

He had an infectious laugh and unique sense of humor that made a lasting positive impression on all who knew him. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Jennifer C.R. French and her husband Ryan of Salem, MA and Stephanie Manchester and her husband George Jr. of North Kingstown and a brother, Kenneth Rodger of Parshall, CO. He was a brother of the late Bruce Rodger.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry. Burial will be private.
