Caitlin Sarah Lipyanka passed away suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Secaucus, she was a lifelong resident of Bayonne. A graduate of Holy Family Academy, Caitlin received her Bachelor’s Degree from The College of New Jersey and her Master of Arts Degree from New Jersey City University.

She was a former teacher for the Bayonne Board of Education. Caitlin’s love of her family and friends, along with her two fur babies, Max and Tobey, were paramount in her life. This was complemented by her enthusiasm and appreciation of the arts: theater, music and literary works.

Caitlin is survived by her loving parents, Cathy and Greg Lipyanka; her beloved sister, Meaghan Lipyanka; her loving grandfather, Edward Mackiewicz; and several dear aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Helen Mackiewicz, and Theodore and Anna Lipyanka. The family asks that all wear pink in memory of Caitlin.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, April 20, 2018. A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Henry at 9:30 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
