Susan Harakson, 65, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Jersey City Medical Center. Susan was the owner/operator of Avanity Hair Salon in Roselle Park, NJ for over 10 years. Later on, life showed her another rewarding opportunity as an interviewer for the Bayonne Housing Authority.

It was there where Susan worked diligently to help the citizens of Bayonne obtain residency. Susan’s example of kindness and concern for other and her faith in God and love for animals will long be remembered by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Ernest and Maryann (Mullen) Harakson and her brother Eric Harakson.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Nikole Stepanenko; her son Justin Lewkowicz and his fiance’ Rachel Hudacko; her sister Cheryl Allen; and her former husband Stanley Lewkowicz. A memorial gathering will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. to honor and reminisce the life of Susan. A private cremation was held.
