Rafal Nowak, 41, of Old Bridge, NJ, (formerly of Bayonne), passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Born in Poland, Rafal emigrated to the United States as a child where he lived in Bayonne for most of his life before settling in Old Bridge six years ago. He was employed as a supervisor with Kinder Morgan Inc., in Perth Amboy for many years.

Rafal will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Joanna (Leszczynska) Nowak; children, Emily and Matthew; mother Krystyna (Karpiej); father Jan Nowak; brother Daniel; maternal grandparents, Waclaw and Stanislaw (Mitrus) Karpiej; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tamara (Kiryluk) and Victor Leszczynski; two brothers-in-law, Adam and Tadeusz Leszczynski; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, June 18, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

A funeral mass in Polish will be offered in Rafal’s honor on Tuesday, June 19, at St. John Paul II Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Rafal’s wife Joanna Nowak, would be most appreciated.
