Carl L. Custis Jr., 92 of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Born March 28, 1926 in New Vienna the son of Carl and Edith (Lacy) Custis and preceded by his wife of almost 64 years, Martha Jane Georges Custis in 2011. A 1944 graduate of Wayne Township High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball.

Carl a lifelong resident of Clinton County had also retired 25 years ago from a lifetime of farming. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved many sports and was especially proud of the fact that all of his children had graduated from The Ohio State University and all of his grandchildren have graduated from college.

He is survived by his children, Linda (Dr. Chris) Allen, Rebecca (Dr. Mike) Williams, Tim (Brenda) Custis, Jane (Dr. John) Pole, Ted (Sue Scherz) Custis and Judy (Mike) Gallick. Also sister, Cheryl (John) Locke and brother Jeffery (Jeanne) Custis, as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Also survived by three sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be on Friday June 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, Where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions would be welcomed to Hospice of Dayton. Friends and family are welcome to come to The COVE in Sabina to join together for a luncheon at 1:00 following the interment.
